First of all, I have to apologize for the prolonged absence. I have a terrible sinus infection right now that doesn’t want to get any better, and before that I didn’t feel well enough to blog. I know I usually blog a lot more often than I have been and hopefully I will be able to get back to it. Also, tomorrow I’m going to try and put up a couple of reviews on my review blog while I do some laundry.
Anyway, Thursday (3/14/13) I went to get a test on my wrist done (EMG). They take this thing that looks like the “Conair Twist-a-Braid” and send electrical shocks through your arm to see if there is a nerve being compressed and if so which one and where. It wasn’t bad except for one specific shock they sent through which was a high voltage and right where the nerve is compressed and that hurt pretty bad.
I found out that I have mild cubital tunnel. The ulnar nerve (the one on the side of your pinky) is being compressed at the elbow. The lady who did the test said that it is probably from my summer job last year since I had to start go karts all day every day and they start like a lawn mower.
As of right now I haven’t seen my primary doctor so I’m not exactly sure what they are going to do for my pain. I looked it up though because I wanted to know what to expect and I think what she will do is give me an elbow brace and then some anti inflammatory medication. I’m not sure if I’m still going to be able to work at that job because the only way I could get out of starting the go karts would be if I was promoted to a manager. It wouldn’t be that hard to promote me though since I was already trained to be a manager, I just don’t have the title.
Don’t forget to check out my review blog and stop by my youtube channel! I’ll be back soon hopefully, I don’t want so much time to keep passing between be writing these.
