Getting Involved Blogging A-Z

Once you start college there are so many ways to get involved in the campus community. The college you attend will probably have a lot more clubs than your high school, and there are also events you can attend.

A great way to get involved is joining a club. If it sounds at all interesting to you, go to a meeting and see what its like. After that first meeting if you like it you can continue to go and if you don’t like it you don’t have to go anymore. That’s the great thing about clubs! You aren’t tied to them if you don’t like them!

When looking into a school its a great idea to look into what clubs they offer. Chances are you will find something you are at least a little bit interested in. Some of the clubs my school has are for knitting/crocheting, theatre, psychology, and many more. You don’t have to be involved in the the program in your school to join the club either.

You can also get involved by going to different events the school has. You can go to theatrical productions, dinners, dances, etc… The college I attend has an ice rink, so they offer open skate at nights on Tuesday and Thursday. My roommate and I like to go to open skate sometimes because it is free and they have free skates you can use.

Getting involved is a great way to meet new people. It doesn’t matter what year you are in, you have many ways to get involved.

To all the current (or former) college students: What are some of the ways you are (were)  involved on your campus?

About music12301

I am an avid reader and writer. I love to blog about just about anything in the world that I think of. My blogs can be completely random or well thought out and planned, but never the less, they are all my own. I also love to sing and act and music is a big part of my life. I played the flute for 6 years and I also played the piccolo when it was needed in band. I recently began learning how to play the oboe and I love it. I plan to go to college for music and theater.
